Out and about

by on June 22, 2012

After sleeping for 15 hours, we had breakfast at 1pm and got out and about. Here’s a report from Alex:

Today, we rode on the Underground. One of the stations was St. Pancras/Kings Cross. We were in the underground station which was right next to these 2 stations. Because we were right by Kings Cross, we decided to see Platform 9 3/4. (For those of you who don’t know why that is important, English writer J.K. Rowling wrote a series of books called Harry Potter, and to go on the train to the school, you went to Kings Cross and ran magically through the barrier in between platforms 9 and 10. The name of the platform was Platform 9 3/4.)If anyone happens to be at Kings Cross in between platforms 9 and 10 at 11:00 a.m (London Time) on September 1st, please tell me if you see anyone running through barriers.

We also saw the Clock Tower that contains the Great Bell A.K.A. “Big Ben”, and an old church called Westminster something or other.
It was a great day in London.

Don’t run towards the wall too quickly when it’s closed. Look at what happened to Tom Riddle’ nose.
