Ma-room-5 (by Alex)

by on July 20, 2013

Today, we drove to Salzburg, Austria. On the way, there was traffic. This was caused by the human’s interest in seeing people pee on the side of the road, it happened twice.

We stopped at a mountain, called Wendelstein Peak, that you rode a rack railway to the top.

On the way up, the air pressure got less, and the train car that had been the sun for 30 mins. was very hot. We looked at Germany’s highest church, and went down a cave. At one part in the cave, there was a snow room. The reason why it was called the snow room, is because the snow would fall into the cave, and the cave (0°C), would keep the snow. Therefore, there would be snow in there all year round. I thought it was cool to see snow in the summer.

We walked back up, and took the rack railway down the hill. We got in the car, and drove to Salzberg. We were greeted to Austria with a “Welcome to Austria, a member of the EU.” sign at a toll booth (they get their money from Germans and tourists coming from Germany).

We drove through country roads to our hotel…. and saw a….

COW!

Unfortunately, the hotel does not have the best internet access. We are in room 5. We had dinner, I had pork chops, and we are now going to bed.

Hopefully you won’t have to spend One More Night in Ma-room-5, but if you do, come Daylight I would consider Moving (Like Jagger).
(Important safety tip: never bait Uncle Phil with a pun!)
