The Easternmost Coast (Anna)

by on June 26, 2014

Today was a lot of driving. I woke up at 8:30, and ate breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we went to Walmart to buy food and stuff that was in our bag still stuck in Boston. Mom bought a cooler and a LOT of food in Walmart. Then, the rain started. It was 12:25 when the rain started, and we were on the turnpike to Quoddy point lighthouse. We ate lunch in Augusta, at the red barn, which was a drive-in; ranked number one by trip advisor. The amount of food was HUGE! We got a family-sized meal, and barely ate a quarter of it. The food was really good, and we are taking part of it to have for dinner. Later, we saw a wild turkey! We noticed that Maine has a lot of towns named after big cities; including Belfast, Camden, and Sydney. we are right by the Light house, and we can hear the foghorn all night. 🙂

  1. They sure eat a lot. 🙂 Apparently Ayran is related to the Red Barn (according to WordPress). You sure have to drive east a lot to get to the easternmost point in the United States. #getmeoffofrogers

Turn on Renee’s phone and give it to one of the kids – I would like to chat a bit too. Yummy french fries. Whose bag was lost? You guys and rain are kind of scary!
