Pre-colonial times (Anna)

by on July 7, 2014

Today, we went to Rhode Island. Earlier, we had gone to Plymouth Plantation. There, we saw a replica Wampanoag village and a colonial settlement replica. It was really fun, and I learned a lot. We met a bunch of interesting people, and when talking to them, it became really hard not to talk in a British accent. Then, we saw a woman working on a loom. It was really cool, and I never knew how long it takes to weave a blanket. After the plantation, we saw Plymouth Rock. It was a lot smaller than expected, and kind of underwhelming. After Plymouth Rock, we saw a replica of the Mayflower. It was a lot smaller than I thought, and seemed pretty crowded with 100 people on it. There was only one bad part of today. The whole day, my legs have been hurting because I ran up the stairs at the Bunker Hill Memorial a few days ago. Besides my legs, today was really cool.
