Cemetery (Anna)

by on July 20, 2014

Today, we did almost NOTHING!! We went to Mount Vernon and Arlington National Cemetery. At the cemetery, we saw the Changing of the Guards Ceremony. At the ceremony, someone was really rude and lying down before the ceremony. It was really quiet, and the soldiers had LOADED GUNS!!! It was really scary. Before that, we went to Mount Vernon, where Washington lived. There, we saw George Washington’s dentures, and a statue of his head. We also went on a slave tour. We learned a lot of interesting things, and saw where slaves lived. We also saw a working mill. It had a waterwheel, and a bunch of gears. Then, we saw a whiskey making factory thing. It was really smelly and really cool. Bye!!

Hardly sounds like nothing to me…a lot more than I did today!

“Almost noting” ?! I was right by your side and was exhausted! We were on the go for 12 hours that day, Sister!
