Hiking (Anna)

by on July 25, 2014

[Parents: Hey, Anna, have you blogged yet?
Anna: No, today was BORING and we DIDN’T DO ANYTHING and I CAN’T THINK OF ANYTHING TO SAY!
Parents: Well, we went to a national park, looked at lots of views, had two ranger talks and two movies about the park, hiked on the Appalachian Trail with a guide who taught us many interesting things about people who hike the full length, had homemade Blackberry Ice Cream Pie, saw three bears, and had pizza. Surely you can find something to talk about in all that?]

Today, we went hiking. I was really tired, and not a lot happened. We saw a bear though. It was a mother and two baby cubs, who were really cute. We had been looking for bears all day, and on the way home, some cars were stopped in the middle of the road. I looked over, and saw a mother bear, with two cubs a little bit behind her. Sadly, we could not get the cameras out fast enough, and the bears left before we could get a picture. It was ADORABLE!!! We went to the “best pizza in Sperryville” which is also one of the only pizzas in Sperryville. It was pretty good. Then, we came home. I am now going to go to bed. Bye bye!!!! 🙂

[We actually did get a photo, but the black bears were hidden in the black shadows. Special prize for anyone who can find three bears in this picture:]

Seeing three bears on a ‘boring’ day. Imagine had the day been exciting 🙂
