A long day in Williamsburg (Anna)

by on July 28, 2014

Today, we spent the entire day in Williamsburg. We saw George Washington, the Marquis de Lafayette, and the printer of the newspaper. We also went to a spy decoder activity. There was a challenge code on the board, and I was able to find two mistakes in the code, which I got fixed. Then, we saw the Declaration of Independence being read. The person was WAY better than the guy in Boston. Then, we saw a parade. There was really loud cannons, and guns and drums. Before that, we heard the Marquis de Lafayette talk. He was a lot more exciting then George Washington, and had a really cool French accent. After that, we came back to the hotel. Then we went to a really good dinner. Overall, it was a really cool and exciting day. Bye bye!

Williamsburg? Hope you got a tri-cornered hat and clay tavern pipe for keepsakes!
