Roll Tide (Alex)

by on August 6, 2014

Today, we drove to Montgomery. The first thing we did was have breakfast at Jack’s (they have really good steak biscuits), with Shannon (Aunt June’s grandson), Aunt Donna, Uncle Eric, Hannah, Nana, Aunt Linda, and Uncle Dale. After that, we went to Tuscaloosa and saw the Alabama Campus. At the campus, we saw the quad (central meeting ground), the area where mom spent her first semester, the shop, and the exterior of the Football stadium. I think the idea of lots of pathways in the quad was very good. Basically, there are pathways from most of the buildings, to most of the other buildings, that was created by the dirt paths that many students walked on to get to class. These dirt paths showed where the students liked walking most, which led to cement paths. The football stadium is the 5th largest stadium in America, and the 8th largest non-racing stadium in the world. I really liked the campus, and it has apparently doubled in physical size and student size since mom wen there. We also went to a really good restaurant called the City Cafe, just outside of the campus. Later, we arrived in Montgomery, and swam in Mom’s friend’s pool. This is what we did today.
