The differences in plantations (Anna)

by on August 17, 2014

Today, we saw the differences in plantations. There was one, that was European with columns and white [Oak Alley] , and another that was yellow and brick [Laura Plantation]. It was really interesting how different they were, and the strange [Creole] customs that we learned about. For example, there was a custom that if you were a guest and woke up with a full pineapple on your bed, that meant that it was time to go. It was a lot of fun, but the [100 year old] trolley in New Orleans made me motion sick, so I’m not feeling very good. Bye bye!
