High (on the) Street [Alex]

by on July 3, 2015

Today, we went to Edinburgh castle. There was not much to see, and it wasn’t very impressive. The view was really good though. Since there was nothing else to do, what do you think Mom did? If you did not say shop, than you do not know Mom. Anyway, we shopped for 3 hours and then did a Harry Potter walking tour. The tour was really cool, seeing the inspiration for the books. For example,McGonagal was a poetry writer who was buried in a grave yard. Same with Tom Riddell. Along with the inspiration for Hogwarts. We also saw a tunnel that inspired where Dudley was demented in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.” We were going to have lunch at Nando’s, but their grill blew up. So much for that. At the end of the day, Dad and I went to a hotel to print out our plane tickets. Unfortunately, we saw a someone commit a drunken assault on a homeless person. Basically:

  • Person without shirt walks drunk down street with friends who are drunk
  • Person without shirt stumbles
  • Friends pick him back up
  • Person without shirt continues walking and stumbles over homeless person
  • Chases after homeless person (with a couple of punches and kicks)
  • Homeless person enters restaurant
  • Person without shirt stumbles back to where homeless person’s stuff was
  • Throws stuff
  • 999 gets many calls
  • Person without shirt and friends get stuffed into Police van
  • Turns out that 999 got reports of these people earlier.

All in all, it was very exciting. It has been very hard writing this post, because Wimbledon is playing (without adverts.) This is what we did today.
