Antique Tables Made Daily (Alex)

Today, we went to Shenandoah National Park. Along the way to the park, we saw two signs that caught our eye:

Yes, it does say Antique tables Made Daily

and

“Hello! I would like 4 chestnuts, extra wormy”

After the long drive [On the famous Skyline Drive], we finally got to the park. There was a ranger talk that we attended, which was interrupted as every kid under the age of 12 from Virginia started screaming about the fact that there was a deer (being from PV, deers are an automobiles’ natural prey, rather than an animal to get all excited about.) The talk was about black bears (which are much nicer than the bears at Yellowstone (that steal food)). Later, we did another ranger tour that was 2 miles on the Appalachian Trail (1 mile each way). So we have 2 miles down, 2178 to go. The park was basically just really good views, but the good views came with good pictures.

Lastly, we had dinner at the

Which probably was the best pizza in Sperryville, population 328. [They said they are so good they put all the other pizza places out of business]. I really enjoyed the park, and I also look forward to more NPS parks. This is what we did today.
